Conversion
The following operations are understood to be converting
Twisting
The yarn, which is supplied in the form of cylindrical bobbins, is first of all twisted into a 2 or 3-ply cord according to the customer's specification:
- The latest direct cablers are available for 2-ply cords, which have now become the industry standard.
- High-speed, single step production steps ensure optimum quality and cost savings.
Weaving
The cord produced by the twisting process is now woven into a fabric. It consists of up to 2000 warp threads and is kept together through a light cotton weft. Modern, high-speed air-jet weaving looms are used to meet the quality standards of high-performance tyre fabric.
Dipping
The yarn/cord and the fabric made in the twisting and weaving process is coated with a special adhesive and then undergoes thermo-mechanical treatment in order to set the customer-specific chemical and mechanical additives. The five ultramodern dipping units ( 2 DIP unit for fabric / 3 DIP unit for single end cord unit) facilitate the production capacity of around 36.000 tons per year.
